Ok, I will admit, I really didn't like this article. It really upset me. As in, I had to vent about how much I did not agree with this article. But, after taking some time to mull it over (aka forgetting about it, then remembering, reading over my rant, and then actually THINKING about it), its... not as bad as I had first thought. Although, I think i was also in kind of a bitchy mood when I read it, and it just fueled my bitchiness...

maybe i'm just feeling good about myself. i dunno. but drewbie and i are going for dinner on friday (its quarter end, and i was kinda grumpy yesterday morning, so he's taking me out. which is super sweet and very much appreciated), then going to true confections for dessert (OMG PIE!!!! <3)

on saturday i'm going out boating with sarah and her dad (and possibly some other ppl), but we'll be spending the day on the water, and gibsons island or smth, so that'll be fun. i haven't been on a speed boat in... years? i'm excited.

on sunday i MIGHT go to grilled fromage with ppl, but i might veto the lake. i haven't decided yet.

ALSO!! ALSO! ALSO!!! Its Darin's b-day on sunday, so even if I DON'T go with the group to squamish/cat lake, i'm DEFINITELY going to Darin's suprise bbq dinner that evening. Christina called me to MAKE SURE i would go, because, according to her, i'm one of Darin's favourites. which totally brightened up my morning even more.

AND i might have coffee planned with a guy that my sister's bff tried to semi-set me up with before (if my sentence is grammatically incorrect, i don't really care). but this is VERY tentative, as in i told J this morning that i'd be down for coffee with this guy. so she's going to give him my number, and we'll see what happens from there.

so yeah. feeling pretty good right now, despite the semi-craziness at work.

and! I had a glee dream last night. I think Rachel and Mercedes had like a... sing-off of sorts (they were on the football field), and then they were inside, and Mercedes must have won, because rachel was really upset, and went to finn for comfort, and he hugged her, and she was crying, and then he's all, Hey Mr. Schue, did I tell you about Jolly Ranchers? I really like Jolly Ranchers' or smth stupid like that. he was just being... really stupid in my dream, and i woke up slightly mad, because he was only sort of trying to comfort rachel. like, yeah, he was hugging her, but he was having a totally stupid conversation over her head. he was laughing and stuff, and she was in his arms, all sad and crying. i was all, why the eff is he being so stupid? and then i woke up, so it was ok.

BUT ther were like.... a gazillion previews before the movie started.

The International looks interesting. But then again, anything with Clive Owen usually is.

Plus? He says a line that made me melt. And i was just thinking about it and that's why I psoted. That's why I'm a ball of happy squishy melty right now.

He says sometthing like "You need to walk away so I don't have to"

(he might have said 'won't' but I can't remember. It was a couple days ago.)

BUT STILL. I was all, that has to be one of the most romantic lines i've ever heard. AND Clive Owen was the one saying it, so its hot and sexy AND romantic.

and i think it goes well with the song i have on repeat currently - Coldplay's "A Message" - I go back and forth between that song and Meat Loaf's "Cry Over Me" - probably one of the best post-break-up songs I've ever heard.

But yea. those are my current melty happy thoughts right now, which is nice. yesterday wasn't so happy or melty. or squishy.

Today is my Kerry Day!! *rejoices* We'll probably have a few drinks at the Foggy Dew, maybe have a few appys. The usual. Then i'll go home, chill out with my sis and watch tv/dvds. it'll be a good night.

tomorrow i have work from 11-4 then... i don't know. rest probably.

moogan83 and I are all prepared for Twilight - the various facets of it. The last(?) book - Breaking Dawn - will be out in Aug. So we're going to some Indigo function most likely. and then in Dec its the movie, and we're going to see it 50 billion times each. Wheeeeeeee!!!!!

iheartkeys is off in the UK for AT3 and won't be back for 2 whole weeks! Why does it seem like everyone is off jet-setting?? Vikki and Chapters!Jenni are both in England! Lindsey is STILL in Australia!

Its ok i guess. I'll be in Midway for the May Long Weekend, and then it'll be July and I'll be at Comic Con (OMG HUGE TWILIGHT PANEL BABY!!! BOO YEAH!) and then it'll be august and Breaking Dawn will be out and then it'll be december and the movie will be out. I just have to get through these stupid days and weeks and months until all the good stuff happens.

wednesday would be Pie Day, but Donut has plans, which is cool. Pie Day will be postponed. we've done it before, we can do it again. As long as we get us time, its all good.

So i went to Victoria this weekend. Ok, friday night. I got Kieran to pick me up and take me to the ferry terminal. I surprisingly made it on time. On the ferry i read my book and listened to my iPod and ignored the crazy guy sitting in front of me. My sister met me at the terminal and we went back to her hotel (The Marriott) and ordered dinner from room service. The best part about dinner had to be the clam chowder which we shared as a starter, and the cheesecake i had for dessert. Both were delicioius. As we ate dinner, we watched Men In Trees (YAY! Cash is back!).

After dinner I phoned up Aggie and met her at a bar where she was celebrating a friends birthday. so i stayed there for a litle bit, then when it was time to go, went back to the hotel and went to bed. Aggie went back to her place, and her friends went dancing.

The next morning, my sister and I checked out of the hotel (and kept the key cards, as my mother told me that the cards keep the info on them, so anyone could get it), and waited for Aggie and her boyfriend to meet us for Brunch. We went to De Dutch which was yummy. Then we went shopping for a few hours. I bought 4 fun tees (and if/when i go back, i plan to buy more - especially the Jem and the Holograms tee i saw). But we went all over the place and had fun and ate a lot and generally had a good time.

Mares and I caught the 5pm ferry back home, and immediately called friends to hang out. She went to see a movie with her gal pals, and I phoned the guys. We decided on movie night at Drew's (and NOT Kieran's), and it took us forever to decide on a movie - Tremors. Its hilarious. I love that movie so much.

Sunday i had to work at Chapters for Customer Appreciation Day. And oh dear lord. That's what my life is going to look like from now on, i think. The Christmas Rush is falling upon Chapters, and the lines are going to be outrageous. arg. Still it wasn't too bad. I got to see Darlene, and Megan, and Eric. Spent some time with Frank and got to know him a little better. He seems like a nice kid. Eric got me a TY dog and a starbucks card for no apparent reason. i hope he didnt' think it was my birthday, cuz it wasn't. but he's so sweet. I luff him.

I had a thought and then it was gone, but i'm sure it was something fangirly about Lisa, or Torri, or House, or PD or something.

No, seriously, i can't wait for Tuesday. Its gonna be awesome. hee!

tonight is Chuck night. yay!

i'm bored. i don't know if you could tell or not, but i totaly am, which is why i wasted time telling you about my weekend.

Oh, thats right! I could so be on the prowl if i wanted!!!

Last night at Chapters, there were only 3 of us working - that's including the manager. But anyway... so, i was up at cash (as usual) and these two high school boys come up. So i greet them like i greet everyone. "Hey how's it goin?"
HSB1 was all, "Excellent. How're you... Caitlin?" So i kind of laugh and say pretty good. I asked him if he knew about the iRewards card and he answered "Nebulously". So i giggle and replied "I like you. You're awesome." so then we traded (money for a book) and still kind of laughing, i told him and his friend to have a good night. And he was all, "You too. *wink* "

I'm serious.. He winked at me. So i giggled again. Seriously, he was adorable, but he was trying to be all cool and stuff... god, it was cute.

I told Dar and Tanya and I was all, omg, i think i was just hit on by a 14-yr old. Dar was all, oh, he'll come back.

BWA! I still have it! I can get hit on by 14 yr olds!

still... it would have been nicer if had been... oh, closer to my age maybe, but still. It has to be some sort of accomplishment if i can turn some raging hormonal teen's head, right? RIGHT????????

But seriously. it was the cutest thing. and the sad part is i might have blushed. Whatever.

But yeah. There were 3 of us working last night, but it was fairly slow and we got out in time. So yay. But i seriously hope that never happens again.

Whatever. i got home and watched House. (House Training. 1 disc left! Oh Noes! I DON'T WANT IT TO END!!!!!!) But seriously, disc 4? Kinda my favourite in s3. So far at least.

I ♥ Cuddy liek whoa. She's like my new Weir. Don't get me wrong. She's not a replacement, but they are similar.

kepp0xy was right. I have a thing for a certain type of tv girlfriend. bwa. that makes me laugh a little.

Anyway... i think that's all i have to say for now.

YAY for Bones and House tonight!!! (and then more House after that!!!)

also? I'm working on getting my Nintendo Thumb back. My sis and I have the old school Nintendo, and the first time i played in years, my hand started to cramp. i was all, OMG NOOOOOOOO!!!! I LOST NINTENDO THUMB!!!!

But yes. Still. We are working on Super Mario Bros to save the Princess. (well, she saved her on Saturday, but still. I still need to. And then i'll have to do it again without Warping. Oh man, i missed you Nintendo!)

But yes. i am a geek, but i'm an old school geek, so that makes me pretty cool.

Also? I pulled Donut's name and she won a Stephen Colbert Stand Up. I win at life!!

I had planned on ranting earlier about the suckiness that is work (yes, both jobs but mostly Chapters), but i've changed my mind.

Instead, I just want to say how much i love my co-workers. Seriously, they are awesome. Even though some of them are leaving, i do hope that we can still get together and hang out, because they are amazing, and we have fun together. We're all crazy.

but yeah. i'm tired and its late (twice i almost put its tired and i'm late... heh. point.) and i guess i'm feeling all smooshy towards my fellow Chapters (#768) employees, but yeah.

They are awesome. (and if i ever become a great massage therapist, they will all get 30% off, at least. {certain ppl may get a higher discount as they are/were wives and deserve more.} and possibly a coupon book. i haven't decided that part yet.)

but now i'm going to bed. cuz there is still work tomorrow.

Ok. I will admit to having a rather... dedicated personality.

So what if I've seen Harry Potter three times? (Once with my mom, once with main group of friends, and once with work-friends - IMAX BABY!!).

So what if tomorrow i'll be seeing Hairspray for the third time? So what if i rented High School Musical AND the original Hairspray? So what if i got the new Hairspray soundtrack on my iPod a day after i saw the movie and it's pretty much the only thing i listen to?

Its called DEDICATION people! I'm a dedicated fan!

last week i rented BOTH Terminators so i could fully understand the Sarah Connor Chronicles that's coming out this fall (and you should all watch) !

It's not easy! This is hard work, and i spend a fair amount of money doing this!

It take endurance! determination! force of will!

If being a dedicated fan was a job, i'd be making millions!

On Saturday night, i saw Kerry!

First off, my day was pretty chill. after waking up around 11am (because i had an awesome night on Friday! Thanks Kyle!!!!!) i was hungry and my sis asked if we should have muffins or pancakes with our bacon and eggs. I said muffins, so she had to decide which kind she wanted to make. I watched Terminator 2 as she cooked, and we had planned on cleaning that day. So we did a little bit of cleaning, then got distracted by S2 of the X-Files. So we watched a couple of those, and I went off to do some errands, and I came back, and we went to dinner at Earls, and we watched another ep of the X-Files when Kerry msgs me to tell me he's back in town and would i like to hang.

So OF COURSE i say YES because its KERRY and he lives in Peachland and we rarely get to see each other anymore!

So we go to the Foggy Dew and he buys us a few rounds of drinks, and we talk about life and what's been happening with us and my (lack of) love life and his love life and everything. So after drinks we go to his buddy Craig's house and we hang out there a while, and then its like 1am and we decide its late and should go home. But yeah, i love Love LOVE hanging out with Kerry. He's such an interesting person and i love the way he loves life and he's such a gentleman and i always wish the best for him.

We both agreed that we didn't like keeping up with each other on msn since it made hanging out so much better. I love talking to Kerry face to face. He's the kind of friend that we can see each other after months of NOT seeing each other and we just pick up where we left off. Which is kind of funny since Lindsey is like that too and she lives in Kelowna.

So last night me and my beloved

kepp0xy went to go see Hairspray.

and it was a lot of fun. I love musicals. (and i have a slight crush on her boyfriend, but whatever. she knows and is ok with that. or something).

I will admit that seeing John Travolta in drag (and a fat suit) was a little... jarring at first, but he played the role fairly well, and really? Christopher Walken is a favourite of mine. I luff him. I think he's awesome. And he danced (squee!).

But yes, i very much enjoyed the movie (the company was ok... i guess. J/K! I luff you Keps!!!). I actually want to see it again. its the kind of movie that when you leave the theater, you are happy. (and full of squee - at least we were).

(then we tried fitting SGA into Hairspray, and that was... interesting to say the least. It was pretty cracktastic, no matter how we looked at it though.)

Now i must own the soundtrack, cuz it was full of dancey-ness, and i loves me some dancey.

seriously, i love musicals. (and now i kinda want to rent high school musical.)

sapphs OMG! LAST NIGHT I BOUGHT THE PRETENDER MOVIES!!! *squees and dies* but yes. Last night my sister and i watched The Pretender 2001 (isn't it amazing how much hair can change in 4 days, omg?!) So tonight we will finish with The Island of the Haunted. *dies* seriously. I am on a renewed Pretender kick.

I also bought Season 1 of Gargoyles. Oh, that's right, Gargoyles, the cartoon. My sister and I stayed up till 12.30 watching it, and we still only got to The Awakening: Part 3 before we had to call it quits.

Being at work is boring and tiresome. Just one more day!!! YAYS!!! Then its off to Midway to visit the fam with the BABIES!!!! HEE!!! Although, the trip going and coming back probably won't be very much fun, as Ophelia does not like to travel. She's very loud in her objections. We can't figure out if she doesn't like the carriers - she doesn't like being stuffed into a carrier, but she loves cramming herself in the smallest places possible in the condo. Go figure. - OR if maybe she just hates being separated from Octavius like that. Mom says that Dad has no problem with us letting the cats out as long as their leashes (and yes, i did just say leashes) stay on and they don't try to climb all over him while he's driving. Hopefully that will help.

Still... 6 hours... (i'm kind of scared)

On a totally unrelated note (which is basically what this post will consist of, so turn back now!!!), i'm totally loving the Chewy Yogourt bars. Peach is currently my favourite as it reminds me of the Peach yogurt that i used to have with my Papa, but i haven't tried the strawberry or the vanillia yet. Blueberry is good, but the Peach has that whole 'reminds me of my Papa' thing that it just can't beat.

BTW, i should be working, but i'm falling asleep at my desk, so i'm posting.

Still, i'm excited to see the Fam, even if the Kim-Boyfriend will not be there. Jonesy's dog is sick, or getting fixed, thus he will not be attending Easter Dinner with us. I think me and Mares are the only family members who haven't met him yet. Whatever. His loss. More foods for ME! No seriously, i love family dinners in Midway. There's always so much food, since its not just a family thing. Its a friends and family thing. And its awesome, filled with yumminess. And family time. Which is basically everyone teasing each other (or you know, me.)

Also? I had veggies and dip today for lunch. why i just wrote that i have no idea. I CAN BE HEALTHY!! it was calorie-wise ranch dressing, since cauliflower and ranch dressing = teh love.

It's Bones night, which means a post later on tonight full of flailing bones love. I know for a fact it won't be as good as last weeks, because really? Nothing compares to the awesomeness that is GordonGordon. (and Hodgins and Angela totally having sex at work).

Oh, and at Chapters, i've made it my mission to make Steven my Very Best Friend EVER!!!! since he generally doesn't like ppl. AND he said that we were genuine friends (which i admit is true, but that's what started this whole thing). I keep asking him if he wants to "hug that out?". I'm taking a page outta Martin Gero's book, baby! He'll succumb one of these days. I know he will. I'm going to fix him. I've told him and everyone else that. EVERYONE. and they all think it's a great idea. so yay! I've also got

rocksalted and i went to the Celluloid Social Club and watched some really neat short films! Zombie Walk was kind of funny, The Veil was creepy but interesting (mmm, blood pancakes!), Fido looks funny and cool (I MUST SEE IT!!), Masumi was French and Japanese and i could not read the subtitles but it looked neat, The Janitors was beautiful and sad (AND OMG CIGARETTE SMOKING MAN WAS THERE AND I SAW HIM AND THATS PROBABLY THE FIRST STAR I'VE EVER SEEN THAT CLOSE UP THAT WASN'T AT A CON!!!!), and Crossing looked interesting and Donovan Life was funny! OH! And Head Shot! MAN, that was FREAKIN HILARIOUS!!! FOR SERIOUSLY!!! *dies with laughter*
