tater_maeSo last night me and my beloved kepp0xy went to go see Hairspray.
and it was a lot of fun. I love musicals. (and i have a slight crush on her boyfriend, but whatever. she knows and is ok with that. or something).
I will admit that seeing John Travolta in drag (and a fat suit) was a little... jarring at first, but he played the role fairly well, and really? Christopher Walken is a favourite of mine. I luff him. I think he's awesome. And he danced (squee!).
But yes, i very much enjoyed the movie (the company was ok... i guess. J/K! I luff you Keps!!!). I actually want to see it again. its the kind of movie that when you leave the theater, you are happy. (and full of squee - at least we were).
(then we tried fitting SGA into Hairspray, and that was... interesting to say the least. It was pretty cracktastic, no matter how we looked at it though.)
Now i must own the soundtrack, cuz it was full of dancey-ness, and i loves me some dancey.
