sometimes i hate the backspace button. you have something all nicely written out, then BAM!

its gone.

But i guess that's what you get when you're not paying COMPLETE ATTENTION or something.

anyway.

so this weekend was Moving Weekend!

not for me, though. for 2 of my bffs. Sarah (and her bf Nick) moved out of their place on Friday, and Drew (and Kyle) moved out of their place on saturday (to different places).

so, on my MUCH DESERVED day off, i woke up at a reasonable hour - maybe even an UNreasonable hour, considering it was my day off - and helped my Person move. I've got an SUV (2009 Subaru Forrester), so there's plenty of room to put stuff, once i've put the backseats down. so anyway.

Ryan and Jamieson had a game, so Amber went home for a bit, I dropped of Jamieson at his car (at drew's old place) then went home for a bit, Drew went to Ryan's to watch the hockey game.

After Episode 2 of Weeds, I got a call from Drew saying that he and Amber were on their way to the icerink for dinner. so off i went. The three of us ate dinner, and showed up at Ryan and Jamieson's game partway through the 2nd period, and they were getting their asses kicked. Then Jamieson got in a fight, and Ryan got in a fight, and Ryan lipped off the ref, so he got kicked out, as well as one of the other star players on the team... it was brutal.

Drew had to go after dinner, as he had a Rollerhockey game (with Kyle), and Amber and I watched the hockey game with our friends Jake, Angie, and Cori (who is Andrew's gf, and Andrew is on Ryan and Jamieson's hockey team). So. After their defeat, the guys met up with us in the lobby of the rink, and everyone except for Andrew&Cori, and Jamieson, went to Drew and Kyle's rollerhockey game, where they KICKED ass.

Jamieson showed up after the game was over, and we all decided that we'd go to Boston Pizza to hang out (like the old days). Kyle didn't come, as he was tired from moving that day, and he'd just finished rollerhockey, and he just wanted to chill in his new place.

So we get there, and since i was still full from dinner, i just had water. (also, i'm broke). Then i called Kieran and made him come out to see us, since he'd bailed on me on friday, when we sorta had plans. He had just finished a family dinner thing, and he was more than full. (but i guess 6 pieces of lasagna will do that to a person... ok, i don't know for SURE if it was 6, but he had 3 different kinds of lasagna, and he said he went back for seconds...)

So we hung out there for a while, and then we all went home.

Sunday... was GLORIOUS!!!

I did absolutely nothing ALL DAY.

My sister was out doing a little roadtrip to Seattle with her girlfriends, so i stayed in bed, and i watched movies. I started watching a bonus feature on my Cry Baby DVD, but they mentioned Sandra Dee, and I was reminded of Gidget, so... i youtubed it. That movie is kind of a guilty pleasure. I love it. its just so... i don't know. a chick-flick. after i watched that (all 10 parts on youtube), i took a nap. I deserved it, I think, after my busy weekend. Anyway, I woke up, because Kieran was going to give me flowers before he went to mexico.

He bought flowers, and then decided he didn't like them. So since I was with him when he bought them, i guess he decided to give them to me, even though I have the Black Thumb of Death, when it comes to gardening. but i thought, what the hey, they're free flowers.

So he came by, and we hung out in my parking garage for about an hour, just talking and chillin. I found out that i could piggy back him - and he's a pretty big guy. but yeah. i got my flowers and he still had to pack for his week-long mexico trip.

I watched Cry Baby when I got back upstairs. And damn. Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker is one hell of a man. <3

My sister came home just as i was finishing up with Cry Baby. I hadn't eaten all day, so i had 2 tomato&cheese sandwiches while i watched my second movie, and she had a late lunch in the States. So we watched Weeds for a bit, then we both got hungry around 9pm, so she had a sandwich, and i had mac&cheese that i was going to eat for lunch. but its all good. we got in our sisterly time, as we hadn't really seen each other all weekend. 

But yeah... that was my weekend. out of the 3 potential days off i had, only 1 was a REAL day off. But i had a good time all three days. Spending quality time with ppl who are awesome.

This week Iron Man comes out, and so I'm STOKED ABOUT THAT. My friend Sonia (aka Boss)'s bridal shower is on saturday, and then OMFG, ITS THE EAGLES CONCERT ON THE 9TH!!!!

and then i got plans to head over to the island on the 14th to spend some time with my Woman. so that'll be nice.

man, May is going to be Busy!

And i'm pimping myself out like nobody's business. 

Its crazy how i'm doing this whole networking thing. I've got contacts everywhere, and I kinda didn't know it. 

I've got goldenrockstar looking for things at FedEx, there's a job in richmond for a company that a family friend used to work at (she's retired, but i'm sure she's still got contacts) that i'm going to apply for and she's gonna help me out, and a friend at my mom's old job got her eye out for anything that comes up (they did some hires last week, but there might be something in the fall).

Seriously. I'm like... a Mega-Pimp or something. for myself. 

Also, i'm trying to phone a woman who works at a pub that's a friend of Eva (one of my dispatchers). 

I had no idea how well-connected I was business-wise. Its kind of awesome. 

So i'm not too worried about finding a job. Something will come up. 

I also have to fill out an application form for The Bay. (Fill out an application? Fill in an application? Does it matter?)

so yeah. That's pretty much it. I'll probably be laid off mid-June, work part-time at Chapters if I don't have some sort of other job by then, then its off to San Diego for Comic Con at the end of July.   

Recently, i've been happy. Not that i was unhappy before then. I"m just... happy. Usually, now. And that's a nice feeling.  

I'm sad that Heath Ledger is dead. He was very talented. 

I think i want my funeral to be a celebration though - unless i did something really horrific and terrible. then you don't have to celebrate my life, you can cheer that i'm dead. But if i wasn't a really really terrible person when i die, then you can have a party and celebrate all the good times we shared and all that. (also? I"m totally getting cremated.)

What else?

Tonight i'm hanging out with my beloved iheartkeys. ilu sweetie. 

I think today is much better than yesterday.

ok, not much of a list, for now. just, hold on. there is a (?) for a reason. They are offering me the job, but the only problem is that i can't start right away. Denise needs me so we can prep the girls to cover my shift. (i almost wrote shit, but caught myself. same thing really.)

so my New Best Friend Mike (who is kinda my agent-type guy. he found me this gig and set up the interview, and called me after to see how it went. see? new best friend.) was all, try and see if you can start on this new job for next week. and i was all, ok, i'll try, but...

so then i get back to work and i was all, hee. i have good news and bad news. good news is, i got the job. bad news is, they need me to start next week.  then denise was all, erm... i would if i could, but i really really need you here so i can prep the girls. plus, you kinda promised me a 2 week notice. and i was all, yeah, i know.

so then i called my NBF Mike and i told him, and he was all, ok, let me relay this to the ppl, and i'll get back to you.

except then i didn't hear from him again. so i'm just gonna call him tomorrow, and see whats up.

THEN, after coming home from work and taking a shower, Marcie (whom i totally love and adore. Yes, that's right. jamiesona? i totally luff your mom a billion times more than you. sorry.), came over so we could sign stuff that said that we got all the stuff we needed to get done done so that we could get the apartment. (i don't know if that sentence made sense or not, but i'm not changing it.). so now all we have to do is wait for the probate.



OMFG YOU GUYS!!!! I'M TURNING INTO A GROWN-UP!!!! I'M GETTING ADULT-IFED!!!! (which makes me sound like i'm 5, i know. and? also sounds kind of pervy,but whatever.)

Ok, so some things have happend so far in my life, but not really.

On Sunday, after discovering, yes, our offer was accepted!!! i hung out with Sheena in the afternoon. it was a beautiful, chilly day. We got coffee (and snacks) and had a nice talk. Then, we kind of played 'phone tag' with her Birthday Buddy Aidan and planned to have dinner with him (and some of their friends from Trinity). 

So we went to Burnaby (i called mom just to make sure we didn't get lost, even though we had google-mapped our route from Sheena's, and Peter [her brother] had given me directions as well) to the Crystal Mall (which was where the Stargate Convention was!!!! we were both, we've been here!!!) and walked around a bit til we could get in the S & W Pepper or something like that. I wasn't really paying attention to the name. 

But yes, i met a bunch of really nice, great people, and i had fun (even if i did feel slightly out of place).


THEN!!!

yesterday, after watching Prison Break (omg! *iz ded* ) I went to DQ with Kieran! since he apparently missed me muchly. i was all, ok, i don't get, but thanks.

so i got a moo latte and he got a blizzard and we drove around and talked, and he kept saying how awesome i was and how much he missed me and i was all, i don't get why you keep saying that, but thanks.

we drove by the apartement, and its still nice, even in the dark. 

it was nice seeing Kiki again. we might hang out this weekend if he doesn't have to work.

AND!

OMG! Today!!! firstly, denise was in around 11 and then the ppl from the placement agency called and wanted to talk to her, so she raved about how great i was. then while she was talking to Russ, Jesse called me and was all, we've found a job that you might be able to fill, we just need to set up an appointment for you!!!

SO OMG!!!!

I MIGHT BE GETTING A REAL JOB TO GO WITH THE NEW APARTMENT I'M GETTING!!!!
