hows life? hows tricks? whats going on?????

so. sososo.

My weekend was pretty good. Thurs and Fri i had to be at work early (as in 4am & 5am), but that meant i got to go home mid-afternoon. 

So friday night, CJ demanded me and AQ's presence - apparently we were having a Threeeo night. (seriously, i had NO CHOICE in the matter. Not that I would ever turn down an opportunity to hang out with my girlies, but seriously, CJ was all, THIS IS NOT UP FOR DISCUSSION - so really...)

so we went out to Gas Town (an hour or so later than we had planned) to check out a new club that a friend (of a friend) was bouncing for. So we got in for free, had a few drinks, met a few people. and like, seriously, i'm a total Puma. The first guy we talked to was 21. I'm 26. so.... yeah, no. And like, don't think that there was any chance of anything happening or whatever, we were just outside talking, but then he was all, i'm 21!! and i'm all, aw, your adorable. but man, you're a baby.   and then there was this OTHER guy - and like. seriously, this guy was totally and completely adorable. as in, i want to keep him FOREVER. and he's 24, so... technically i could =P but anyway. This other guy, at first i was all, OMG YOU'RE ADORABLE. but then he kept calling me Kathryn (which, ok, i introduced myself as Cait, but STILL!! KATHRYN? REALLY?) so then i got upset at him for that. But he kept being adorable, so i had to forgive him. So we kinda made him promise to come to A's bday/halloween party on saturday. And CJ made him promise to wear suspenders just to make it up to me. 

cuz.... i may or may not (and by 'may not' i mean i totally, totally do) have  a thing for suspenders. as in, i think they're totally sexy. i don't know what it is, but i love them, i think they're hot, and if my newest little non-crush came to A's in suspenders... i would probably have to get drunk and kiss him. just a little kiss!! but still. i wouldn't be able to keep my hands off of his suspenders. i know this about myself. i can't even help it. (and no, its not a fetish. i just like them, okay?)

so. friday night was fun (even though A didn't feel that well, me and CJ had a blast!!)

then sat and sun were pretty chill. sat i didn't do ANYTHING except lounge around at home.

sunday me and mares went shopping for her costume, then hung out a bit, then I had to go see stupid Paranormal Activity 3. because my bestie is kind of a dick sometimes, and he makes me see horrible movies that scare me. like, seriously, TERRIFY me. but... i had already seen the first 2 with him, i couldn't not finish the series with him - because i'm CERTAIN that there will be NO MORE after this one. okay? ok.

so me, and the ex-band members of Interphase went and saw this movie. And... i think i watched most of it. There were times were i totally hid my face in Drewbie's arm, or... like, just stared at the bottom of the screen, but i still MOSTLY watched it.

and then i had to drive home all by myself. in the dark. by myself. (but it was ok, because its JUST A MOVIE, and i totally checked the back seat of my car {maybe more than once} just to make sure no one was hiding there, waiting to kill me).

so i went home, watched a couple cute eps of Leverage, looked at a couple pics of my Boyfriend Spencer Smith - because he seriously makes life Better just by existing. and his Smile seriously overpowers the sun. In short, Spencer Smith is made from Everything Awesome, Ever.

so... yeah. thats how i got actual sleep last night. Leverage, and (mostly) Spencer Smith.

i know... i'm kind of a freak, but i don't even care. He's just so good looking. 

and now, i'm excited for Friday, because My Person comes home. and she's sleeping over. because then on saturday its her bday party, and A's bday party. and i'm going to have good times.

Saw Inception yesterday with Drewbie.

OMFG. I loved it. I really enjoyed it. And I need an Arthur. He needs to marry me. he really does. Joseph Gordon-Levitt? amazing. i have no idea what it is about Arthur, but i loved him and i need one.

And i totally want to see Inception again.

so... i may have watched Prince of Persia more than once. But I'm addicted!! Its a good movie ( Major Spoilers for the Movie, because I am a fangirl and I need to Squee!!! )seriously. i kind of love this movie. and i totes need to own it.

sometimes i hate the backspace button. you have something all nicely written out, then BAM!

its gone.

But i guess that's what you get when you're not paying COMPLETE ATTENTION or something.

anyway.

so this weekend was Moving Weekend!

not for me, though. for 2 of my bffs. Sarah (and her bf Nick) moved out of their place on Friday, and Drew (and Kyle) moved out of their place on saturday (to different places).

so, on my MUCH DESERVED day off, i woke up at a reasonable hour - maybe even an UNreasonable hour, considering it was my day off - and helped my Person move. I've got an SUV (2009 Subaru Forrester), so there's plenty of room to put stuff, once i've put the backseats down. so anyway.

Ryan and Jamieson had a game, so Amber went home for a bit, I dropped of Jamieson at his car (at drew's old place) then went home for a bit, Drew went to Ryan's to watch the hockey game.

After Episode 2 of Weeds, I got a call from Drew saying that he and Amber were on their way to the icerink for dinner. so off i went. The three of us ate dinner, and showed up at Ryan and Jamieson's game partway through the 2nd period, and they were getting their asses kicked. Then Jamieson got in a fight, and Ryan got in a fight, and Ryan lipped off the ref, so he got kicked out, as well as one of the other star players on the team... it was brutal.

Drew had to go after dinner, as he had a Rollerhockey game (with Kyle), and Amber and I watched the hockey game with our friends Jake, Angie, and Cori (who is Andrew's gf, and Andrew is on Ryan and Jamieson's hockey team). So. After their defeat, the guys met up with us in the lobby of the rink, and everyone except for Andrew&Cori, and Jamieson, went to Drew and Kyle's rollerhockey game, where they KICKED ass.

Jamieson showed up after the game was over, and we all decided that we'd go to Boston Pizza to hang out (like the old days). Kyle didn't come, as he was tired from moving that day, and he'd just finished rollerhockey, and he just wanted to chill in his new place.

So we get there, and since i was still full from dinner, i just had water. (also, i'm broke). Then i called Kieran and made him come out to see us, since he'd bailed on me on friday, when we sorta had plans. He had just finished a family dinner thing, and he was more than full. (but i guess 6 pieces of lasagna will do that to a person... ok, i don't know for SURE if it was 6, but he had 3 different kinds of lasagna, and he said he went back for seconds...)

So we hung out there for a while, and then we all went home.

Sunday... was GLORIOUS!!!

I did absolutely nothing ALL DAY.

My sister was out doing a little roadtrip to Seattle with her girlfriends, so i stayed in bed, and i watched movies. I started watching a bonus feature on my Cry Baby DVD, but they mentioned Sandra Dee, and I was reminded of Gidget, so... i youtubed it. That movie is kind of a guilty pleasure. I love it. its just so... i don't know. a chick-flick. after i watched that (all 10 parts on youtube), i took a nap. I deserved it, I think, after my busy weekend. Anyway, I woke up, because Kieran was going to give me flowers before he went to mexico.

He bought flowers, and then decided he didn't like them. So since I was with him when he bought them, i guess he decided to give them to me, even though I have the Black Thumb of Death, when it comes to gardening. but i thought, what the hey, they're free flowers.

So he came by, and we hung out in my parking garage for about an hour, just talking and chillin. I found out that i could piggy back him - and he's a pretty big guy. but yeah. i got my flowers and he still had to pack for his week-long mexico trip.

I watched Cry Baby when I got back upstairs. And damn. Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker is one hell of a man. <3

My sister came home just as i was finishing up with Cry Baby. I hadn't eaten all day, so i had 2 tomato&cheese sandwiches while i watched my second movie, and she had a late lunch in the States. So we watched Weeds for a bit, then we both got hungry around 9pm, so she had a sandwich, and i had mac&cheese that i was going to eat for lunch. but its all good. we got in our sisterly time, as we hadn't really seen each other all weekend. 

But yeah... that was my weekend. out of the 3 potential days off i had, only 1 was a REAL day off. But i had a good time all three days. Spending quality time with ppl who are awesome.

This week Iron Man comes out, and so I'm STOKED ABOUT THAT. My friend Sonia (aka Boss)'s bridal shower is on saturday, and then OMFG, ITS THE EAGLES CONCERT ON THE 9TH!!!!

and then i got plans to head over to the island on the 14th to spend some time with my Woman. so that'll be nice.

man, May is going to be Busy!

Watching Speed Racer with aluminiumdonut  last night was awesome, and made me love that movie so much more!! I'm glad i'm not the only person in this world who loves that movie.

ok, so we made it a little more cracked out than it was supposed to be, what with Sparky being their Slave that can only read the really sad articles in the newspapers to them, since Speed and Spridle can't read, and such. But still. it was fun. AND its SO colourful sometimes I think i should be sick. Its so good. And, and the retro-future-ness of it all. AWESOME. AND how, if you're a Racer, you have All kinds of skills, like helicopter pilot, ninja, mechanic, ARTIST. yeah. i want to be a racer.

its so awesome, i really don't have words.

We also watched Pushing Daisies - actually, we stopped Speed Racer like, 10 minutes before it was over so we could watch Pushing Daisies. It was well worth it.

That show is amazing, and cute, and makes me happy. Emerson Cod is still frickin awesome, Ned is so adorable, and Olive and Chuck are just made of win. I love that they're bff with issues. I love this whole cast. Its just too awesome. i use that word a lot, but its good. PD is so full of love, it makes me squishy.

 So.

On Tuesday i had dinner with  jamiesona at White Spot. It was nice and fun to catch up. He paid, which was totally unexpected, but very much appreciated. We decided that the nickname Moo is going to make a comeback. So we'll see how that goes.

We made plans to hang out on Saturday - he said that a few of the guys were going to see The Dark Knight and I should come too. So we're going to the Imax showing at 7pm, since I work until 4 at the casino. 

Sunday i work again at the Casino until 4, so that should be interesting, kinda. It'll get awful lonely when I'm not training anymore. 

Trying to make plans with skullycat  in the near future. Haven't seen her since i got back from comic con, so its been a couple weeks. 

i'm still obsessing about Iron Man. That's not going to change for a while. I can't wait until the end of September. I don't care how much the DVD costs, I'm going to buy it THAT DAY. and then shortly after that, I will introduce skullycat to the magnifigance that is Tony Stark.  

I will not be denied. 

and neither will Tony.

what else? 

kepp0xy and I need to make some plans to watch more Doctor Who. We got through the first ep with Martha. Still don't know how i feel about her though, because I miss Rose.  as a sidenote, i luff mickey and jake. they are just so full of awesome, especially in my head.

Well, this is definitely the year for change. 

I'm trying to find a new job. I went for an interview today. I think it went well, but the place gives me weird vibes. So even if they DO offer me a job, I don't think i'll take it. I also have an interview on Thursday with another company. This is the job i DO want. so here's hoping I do well! *crosses fingers*

i'm sending my resignation letter today to that place i really really REALLY don't like. Shit is hitting the fan and i'm finally trying to get the fuck outta dodge. Its been a long time coming. 

I saw Indiana Jones #4 for the 3rd time last night with goldenrockstar and jamiesona. good times. i think i have to see it once more with iheartkeys. no big loss. Its Indy. (I'm going to marry him!!)

Went to the Buck friday AND saturday night. Friday was for Steve's birthday. Didn't get drunk cuz i had to work at the Place I Hate the next day. But i bought him a pitcher and had a couple drinks and all was good. Saturday i worked, bought one of the girls at Starbucks some flashcards cuz I get a better price for them (for now), so she gave me a coupon for a free coffee and will pay me back on saturday. Saturday night i went to the Buck with my sister, aluminiumdonut, Josie, some of the Chapters Crew, and some people i don't know. Steve and Smugly showed up, which was nice.  Around 130 me and Donut left (it was really loud), so we went to Timmy's for some donuts and hot chocolate, and waited for Mares to call me. Good times. ILU DONUT!!! 

yesterday... i was lazy. had brekkie with the sis at IHOP, dropped her off at work, played the sims, took a shower, played the sims, saw a movie, played the sims... (notice a theme?)

OMG!! THE SIMS!!! Jester died!!! I've never played one family long enough to have someone die!! it was sad!!! they keep crying!!! and Boomer's next - he's the only other 'elder' i have. Pandemonium and Orion had another baby boy - Determination. If she wants one more, the kid's name is gonna be Perseverance. Cuz that's just how I roll. Will is now a teenager, Vanity and Modesty are adults... I think thats about it. 

But yes. Things keep changing. its different.

i hope my Narnia movie comes soon!!

I watched 3 of the 4 i rented last night. 

First I watched the Kingdom. And i rather liked it. (thanks for the rec phrenitis !)


and then i needed to watch something happy, since The Kingdom is kind of the opposite of "light and fluffy", so i watched The Sandlot 2.

oh, thats right. There's a shitty sequel. it was amazing. I rather enjoyed that one too. in a 'omg my brain feels like acid has been poured on it and i'm dying in a painful, yet enjoyable' way. Seriously, it was EXACTLY like the first one. with girls thrown in. and a different name for the dog. and rockets instead of a Babe Ruth baseball. 
AMAZING!!

and since i couldn't leave it at that, i watched Holes as well. And that wasn't a bad movie, i have to say. I almost want to read the book, but i'm currently STILL reading The Golden Compass. (Which is pretty good, i must admit!)

But then it was late and it was bed time. 

I still have Memoirs of a Geisha to watch though. Maybe on Sunday?
