~ Friday was spend with "the guys" which included Drew, Brittney, Ryan, Amber & Jamieson. Went for all you can eat sushi at a place downtown. Was yummy and a bit mortifying, but hilarious at the same time. The lady who was kinda serving us mistakenly thought i was being bitchy to her when i was being bitchy to Jamieson (as he was my non-date for the evening). so i left a decent tip to make up for the fact (hopefully). i was super polite to her when she eventually came back around. the guys had a fun time teasing me about it though. on the ride back, we sang Scissor Sister songs, then talked about Happy Murder songs (like I Can't Decide), but the conversation somehow drifted to just other killer songs that weren't so happy. talking about music can have interesting results.

~ Saturday was good. went to kepp0xy 's to watch Merlin and catch up (as we haven't seen each other in a couple weeks). didn't spent hours upon hours there as per norm since we were both still kinda under the weather. but many fandoms were talked about, as was real life stuff. had a good times as always.

~ Sunday was lazy. The sister and i finished watching S3 of SPN which we enjoyed muchly. (am sad about Blonde!Ruby though. i liked her. and Bela. liked her too). Then we debated on what to watch next. We popped in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the first live action movie) since we couldn't decide on ANYTHING, and its still wonderful and awesome. I'm fairly certain that I will forever love that movie (along with Dirty Dancing). We still know pretty much the whole movie by heart. Raphael is still my favourite, even though i love Mikey and Donnie's repore as they fight. so much love for that movie. then we moved on to S1 of Lost.

* I've never seen Lost before, but i'm enjoying it so far. I love Charlie (though I'm pretty sure he dies at some point in the show. Hopefully not this season, but i'm pretty sure he dies eventually, which makes me kind of sad), and Hurly (cuz he's adorable and awesome), and Locke is crazy, but kinda cool, but crazy, and Jack and Kate are kinda cute, and Sawyer is a badass. Dunno how i feel about the others quite just yet. Sayid is pretty damn sexy too. But yes. Lost is good, even though i'm like... a bazillion seasons behind. My sister stopped watching sometime in S2, and i've heard elsewhere that S1 was the best season out of all of them, but we'll see. Depending on how much i like this show, i may need to own the other seasons as well. We just finished watching the ep about Charlie and his band and his drug problems, and the cave in. So YAY Charlie!! but yes, it was good, and i'm liking this show!

~ I'm working the 9/80 fortnight again at work, so now i'm left to ponder about what i'm going to do with my free friday this week. I'm considering going to a matinee maybe, but i don't know what's out, and i don't know if there's anything i'm really willing to spend my Scene points on, even though i promised The Boss (my friend Sonia) that I'd go see Paranomal Activity at some point. But i'd need to go with a guy, just in case i get too scared. Or maybe i'll take the time to organize the music on my ipod instead. or perhaps i'll do a little xmas shopping. I should find out what my daddy wants, but maybe i'll get him a gift certificate from a golf place in the meantime. I know what i'm getting my sister... and we don't really do the other relatives. my friends might be a problem though. hmmm...

~ Does anyone want Christmas Cards? cuz i can do that for people. if i think about it now, i can probably get it done in time for Christmas, instead of waiting til the last minute as usual (but if that does happen, just think of it as an EXTENDED Christmas or something!!)

so on wednesday, karen and kaeda came by the office so that we could go for lunch. Kaeda was a big hit with my co-workers and everyone adored her and were really impressed at her steadiness on her feet. I totally got to be proud auntie. it was fun. my friend Sarah joined us at white spot, and we all had a good time, i think.

On Friday, I spent time with kepp0xy . Its been a while since we hung out in person, since we pretty much email each other daily and what not. But still, we re-watched eps and scenes of Merlin after having dinner at Fat Burger (MMMMMMM). And of course, we talked and talked and talked. But i didn't stay until 3am like i normally do, since i had to wake up early. So i left around 1230-ish. But it was still good times and it'll have to happen again sometime in the near future. =D

on Saturday me, Mares and Dad went to the States. We headed out at 7am and got to Seattle around 930ish. So we found coffee and got in line to get tickets for the Lucy Exhibit. It was interesting. there was a lot of lead up to get to the actual bones, so I learned a bit about Ethiopia, none of which I can remember right now. But still, it was fun and interesting. Then we took a little free bus tour (FREE BUS!!) along the Pike Place Market area-ish, and it reminded me a lot of Granville Island. Then we had fish and chips that were yummy (but not as good as Dave's OR Pajo's), and then we wandered a little bit, and came home. So it was nice quality time with the fam.

When we got home, me and Mares continued watching Ugly Betty, as that's what we're marathoning at the moment. OMG, i'm totally in love with this show. I love everyone. I do. It's a crazy show, and its fun, and interesting, and the characters are all layered and interesting, and I just love this show. I might have to own it. We just started Season 2, and its pretty good so far. Its so funny because its like a day-time soap, but its not trying to be serious like a day-time soap. it doesn't mind making fun of itself, which is one of the reasons i like it so much.

I think we've been mainstreaming it a whole lot as of late, since i've had 2 dreams already that were about Ugly Betty. Not that I mind, of course.

but that's whats going on so far. I don't really have a life.

So last night, I dragged skullycat out to have dinner with me. Fought with her tooth and nail, i did.

Ok, so not really.

But we did go out to Charthouse, just her and I. It was nice and lovely, and we had a very nice server. We say really weird things when we're together (and when we're not together, but a lot of weird shit comes out of our mouths especially when we ARE together) and apparently some woman at a table close by was staring at us.

whatever.

we had cheesecake for dessert and it was yummy and she ruined the cake because she knows it upsets me. She's a bitch. what can i say? (besides that i love her and oh god, she's going to make us mormons or something and i'll be living in the basement of her and Bee's place in Australia and Kaeda's going to have a weird life with Mommy and Daddy and Auntie Cait - IN THE BASEMENT - with some possible half-siblings even though I'm technically supposed to be with Steve in the future) Aren't rambling run-on sentences fun?

Yes, I'm making no sense, but i've just finished my... 4th? cup of coffee so i'm a little wired.

OMG.

ok, the reason i chose the icon for this post.

So i went to Karen's place to pick her up for dinner, and I hung out with Kaeda as karen and Bee made dinner. So me and Kaeds are hanging out on the stairs, and we're both sitting there, chilling, when she hugs me. completely out of the blue, um-prompted hug.

So, of course my tiny little heart grew twice its size.

My little baby niece hugged me!! It was so cute and she's so cute and I just felt kinda loved and special. I know that I'm not a complete stranger anymore (we do scrunchie face all the time together) but still.

then, as I squeed to her parents about how she hugged me, they asked if she gave me a kiss as well? So i said no, and they told me to do the kissy noise and maybe she'd give me a kiss too. So i go back and i do the 'kiss kiss' thing and lo and behold, i got a kiss too.

So then i felt doubly loved.

I tells ya, that kid is so darn cute.

So after dinner we went back to karen's place and hung out a bit, i gave Bee and Karen back massages, then hung out with Karen a little bit more until Karen decided to put Kaeda to bed. That's when I went home.

All in all, yesterday was pretty not bad. Talked to kepp0xy via emails and we squeed about Merlin. SHE IS AN ENABLER, I TELL YOU.

but yes. that's about it.
