ok, so i haven't updated in a while.

i've had a busy couple of weeks, but other than that i don't really have an excuse. i'm just lazy.

ok, so i haven't updated since LAST month. man, i suck at lj.

I saw the midnight viewing of IM2 when it came out with Aggie, even though i had work the next day. Granted, I didn't think it was as good as the first one, i did enjoy it, and I plan on seeing it again (at least twice - once so that kepp0xy and i can have an international movie date, and once with my aunt who ALSO loves Iron Man!!)

IM2 thoughts-ish )

OMG, The Eagles on the 9th was fucking amazing. But i'm totally biased. I would love them regardless. Still, they started with 7 bridges road, ended with life in the fast lane, then ended the encore with Desperado. It was just amazing, and they're still so funny, and seriously... just an awesome night.

{if i'm going to be brutally honest, i'm really glad it was on mothers day. i think it gave us all something to look forward to. so best mothers day i've had in a couple years, for sure}

On the 14th, i went to the island to visit the woman. My weekend in Victoria! )

Sadly, on Sunday Sarah's grandmother (JJ) passed away. So she wasn't at work that week (understandably). And my friend Sonia was getting ready to get married the week after, so that was exciting and busy.

OMG. So... East Indian Weddings? Kinda cool )

Ooh, also, on Friday the 28th, Drew and I both had the day off, so we went on a little adventure together. We decided on having lunch earlier in the week, and then he said lets go somewhere! It was a REAL adventure - a mini roadtrip. We got in the car and said, Pemberton is as FAR as we'll go, so anything in between us and there is fair game for lunch. He drove, of course (because he wanted to drive, and I didn't want to, so it worked out perfectly), and this was the first time it was just him and me and the open road. We listened to my iPod so we listened to my Rock Band playlist for a while, then we put it on shuffle, and there were some songs that I rocked out to. We made it to Whistler, looked for a place to eat, chatted, had to walk around again because we didn't really pay attention the first time, had lunch, walked around a bit more, went to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, then we went back to Drews and we watched Glee. OMG, the car ride home was pretty fun. Drew and I got some chocolate covered espresso beans, and he said that about 3 of them was like a cup of coffee, so a popped 6 in my mouth and the craziness began. We had about 10 each during the drive, and we both were a bit... nutty. We took a lot of side streets to get back to Drews, and we saw a PINK !! house. No seriously, I shrieked PINK when i saw it. There was absolutely no other way to say it - it was that pink. and awesome. So yeah, before we left my place that morning, i made sure i had the first half of Season 1 of Glee in my bag - Drew had promised me that he'd watch it, so I was making sure he was going to keep that promise. We watched the first couple of episodes, and it was about 5-ish when Jamieson joined us, and we ordered sushi and watched a movie - The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus - Oh Heath! (and Johnny, and Jude, and Colin!) ) After the movie we watched another ep of Glee (Acafellas) and then Jamieson and I went home. It was a fun day.

Drew, I am proud to say, watched the rest of Glee without me.

Last week was month end stuff, and that was pretty busy. Watched Glee with Sarah on tuesday. Not much else happened I don't think.

This Friday i spent some time with Sarah before we were picked up by Chris and Kieran to play Boozeopoly! )

So the next morning, i woke up around 8 830 (after going to bed around 4) and got out of bed around 930, bought my sis some delicious brekkie at De Dutch, got home, had a 3 hour nap, then hung out with my sis for a bit (we had started watching Dead Like Me earlier in the week) and then I went to see Get Him To The Greek with Amber, Ryan& Jamieson.

That was a pretty funny movie, i have to admit.

Yesterday Drew and I went to Prince of Persia, which I really enjoyed. I might even see it again. (ha, MIGHT.)

I have this friday off, so I might go see the A-Team. I haven't decided.

But yes. That's my life update.

sometimes i hate the backspace button. you have something all nicely written out, then BAM!

its gone.

But i guess that's what you get when you're not paying COMPLETE ATTENTION or something.

anyway.

so this weekend was Moving Weekend!

not for me, though. for 2 of my bffs. Sarah (and her bf Nick) moved out of their place on Friday, and Drew (and Kyle) moved out of their place on saturday (to different places).

so, on my MUCH DESERVED day off, i woke up at a reasonable hour - maybe even an UNreasonable hour, considering it was my day off - and helped my Person move. I've got an SUV (2009 Subaru Forrester), so there's plenty of room to put stuff, once i've put the backseats down. so anyway.

Day 1 of Move 1 - Sarah )

Day 2 of Move 2 - Drew )

Ryan and Jamieson had a game, so Amber went home for a bit, I dropped of Jamieson at his car (at drew's old place) then went home for a bit, Drew went to Ryan's to watch the hockey game.

After Episode 2 of Weeds, I got a call from Drew saying that he and Amber were on their way to the icerink for dinner. so off i went. The three of us ate dinner, and showed up at Ryan and Jamieson's game partway through the 2nd period, and they were getting their asses kicked. Then Jamieson got in a fight, and Ryan got in a fight, and Ryan lipped off the ref, so he got kicked out, as well as one of the other star players on the team... it was brutal.

Drew had to go after dinner, as he had a Rollerhockey game (with Kyle), and Amber and I watched the hockey game with our friends Jake, Angie, and Cori (who is Andrew's gf, and Andrew is on Ryan and Jamieson's hockey team). So. After their defeat, the guys met up with us in the lobby of the rink, and everyone except for Andrew&Cori, and Jamieson, went to Drew and Kyle's rollerhockey game, where they KICKED ass.

Jamieson showed up after the game was over, and we all decided that we'd go to Boston Pizza to hang out (like the old days). Kyle didn't come, as he was tired from moving that day, and he'd just finished rollerhockey, and he just wanted to chill in his new place.

So we get there, and since i was still full from dinner, i just had water. (also, i'm broke). Then i called Kieran and made him come out to see us, since he'd bailed on me on friday, when we sorta had plans. He had just finished a family dinner thing, and he was more than full. (but i guess 6 pieces of lasagna will do that to a person... ok, i don't know for SURE if it was 6, but he had 3 different kinds of lasagna, and he said he went back for seconds...)

So we hung out there for a while, and then we all went home.

Sunday... was GLORIOUS!!!

I did absolutely nothing ALL DAY.

My sister was out doing a little roadtrip to Seattle with her girlfriends, so i stayed in bed, and i watched movies. I started watching a bonus feature on my Cry Baby DVD, but they mentioned Sandra Dee, and I was reminded of Gidget, so... i youtubed it. That movie is kind of a guilty pleasure. I love it. its just so... i don't know. a chick-flick. after i watched that (all 10 parts on youtube), i took a nap. I deserved it, I think, after my busy weekend. Anyway, I woke up, because Kieran was going to give me flowers before he went to mexico.

He bought flowers, and then decided he didn't like them. So since I was with him when he bought them, i guess he decided to give them to me, even though I have the Black Thumb of Death, when it comes to gardening. but i thought, what the hey, they're free flowers.

So he came by, and we hung out in my parking garage for about an hour, just talking and chillin. I found out that i could piggy back him - and he's a pretty big guy. but yeah. i got my flowers and he still had to pack for his week-long mexico trip.

I watched Cry Baby when I got back upstairs. And damn. Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker is one hell of a man. <3

My sister came home just as i was finishing up with Cry Baby. I hadn't eaten all day, so i had 2 tomato&cheese sandwiches while i watched my second movie, and she had a late lunch in the States. So we watched Weeds for a bit, then we both got hungry around 9pm, so she had a sandwich, and i had mac&cheese that i was going to eat for lunch. but its all good. we got in our sisterly time, as we hadn't really seen each other all weekend.

But yeah... that was my weekend. out of the 3 potential days off i had, only 1 was a REAL day off. But i had a good time all three days. Spending quality time with ppl who are awesome.

This week Iron Man comes out, and so I'm STOKED ABOUT THAT. My friend Sonia (aka Boss)'s bridal shower is on saturday, and then OMFG, ITS THE EAGLES CONCERT ON THE 9TH!!!!

and then i got plans to head over to the island on the 14th to spend some time with my Woman. so that'll be nice.

man, May is going to be Busy!

i just don't know anymore, you know?

about a lot of stuff.

but whatever. my week off was good. last friday i hopped on a ferry with Bear (my car) and went to the island to see The Woman and Her Spawn (aka [livejournal.com profile] skullycat and Kaeda). we had a nice visit together. didn't write anything, but we seem to do that better when we're apart than when we're together. we came up with some new ideas for our story (that WILL be published one day!! hopefully) so we'll see how they work out.

Actually, one of my days there was quite memorable, as we went to Sidney, BC, and... seriously. Ok, I grew up in a placed called Steveston. Its a little fishing village in Richmond, and its.. quaint. I love it, but whatever. Sidney? OMG, ITS LIKE ITS A DOPPELGANGER OR SOMETHING!!! ITS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE STEVESTON!!! ON THE ISLAND!!! which shouldn't shock me or kinda weird me out, but it did, and it does.

I MEAN SERIOUSLY, IT EVEN HAS A POST OFFICE/MUSEUM!!!

it was a little creepy, but kind of cool and awesome. but thats just me being kinda geeky.

anyway. the olympics are here. LOL to the opening ceremonies when the thing didn't work. i mean, it was a good opening (i LOVE KD LANG, BTW. SHE'S AWESOME AND AMAZING AND I LOVE HER VOICE!!). and YAY to good ol'Wayne. He's pretty cool.

but... i feel kinda bad for saying so, but i... don't really care all that much about the olympics. I mean, its awesome for all these different nations to get together and everything, but... meh. i mean, it was cool that i saw the torch. twice. both with my bff Sarah. (who is totally my bff, and i was so happy when she said it, but i'm weird like that, and yay!) but... i dunno. it is cool.

What IS cool is that i'm excited for one thing. Feb 21, i'm going to watch curling!! I won tickets! so i'm excited about that, because while i'm meh about it and everything, i'm glad i'm experiencing at least a part of it. When its in my city, you know? i won't ever get a chance like this again, and i won't ever make an effort to actually GO to an olympic game, so, yay!!

so... a couple weeks ago, my dad asked my sister and I if we were okay if he were to go on eHarmony. and we said of course.

all i want is for him to be happy. i think he was a little... nervous? or... apprehensive about asking/telling us about it, because he wasn't sure if we WOULD be okay. but i'm happy if he's happy, and that's all there is too it.

he told us today that he had started earlier than what he told us, and he had been out a couple times with a lady, but that didn't really work out (she said she didn't want/need a third date, so me and mares offered to go beat her up, to which Daddy just laughed), and he's been talking to a lady who lives on the island, and i think he's going to go meet her this weekend. my dad just had his birthday, and he just turned 61 (which is why we were with him tonight, to celebrate his birthday even though it was earlier this week), and apparently this lady is 50-something, so we made joking comments about him 'robbing the cradle' and how he's a 'sly dog', and i think he liked that we're really ok and joking about the situation.

so, after that little conversation, we played cards for a couple hours. before that, we were teaching him a few things about his ipod. and before that we had dinner.

ok. so. i know i'm telling this story out of whack, and i'm really surprised if you're actually still reading this, but OMFG.

FIRST OFF, I LOVE MY FRIEND KIERAN SO MUCH RIGHT NOW. HE'S ONE OF MY MOST FAVOURITE MEN (and yes, i called him a man, which should say something about how much i adore him right now) IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW!!

ok, so, I got Daddy Eagles tickets for his birthday!! I also got tix for me and Mares. so its a family affair, and we're going to see the eagles, and seriously, guys, seriously, you have no idea how much i love this band. i was listening to them in the WOMB. this band has been a BIG part of my life. I saw them for the first time when I was in Grade 4 (the Hell Freezes Over Tour), and then I saw Don Henley in Kelowna a few years back.

but seriously, guys, its the EAGLES, AND I MAY EXPLODE FROM JOY.

but yeah, Daddy seemed SUPER happy about his b-day gift from us, and i'm SOOOOO happy. i mean, i knew he'd LIKE them, but i think he's actually kinda excited about it, which makes me even MORE excited.

ok, the reason i love Kieran? he told me about the Eagles concert. i think he may have told me when he found out, because he knows i love the Eagles. and i LOVE the eagles. i do. seriously, probably in my top 3 bands that i love, ever. he may have also helped me GET the tickets. so i am pretty much am indebted to him forever (within reason).

he doesn't think its such a big deal, but... he's been really great lately. and everything that he has been doing for me has meant a LOT to me, even if it doesn't take much effort for him. and i've been trying SUPER hard to be nice to him. its been working, i think. SO yes. How much do i love my Peanut? OH SO MUCH. (this could change at any moment, but as of right now? i luff him forever!! I luv him sooooooooo much that i even told him he didn't have to buy me a Ring Pop. in fact, the other day, i bought HIM a ring pop. THAT'S how much i adore him.)
anyway. so yes. i have EAGLES TICKETS, OMFG, AND NOW I CAN BE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT IT, BECAUSE NOW MY DAD KNOWS AND I MAY JUST BURST FROM HAPPINESS. ok ok, its not until May, but whatever. I have tickets, and whatever, they're on the balcony, but whatever, i'm going to an Eagles concert. and that, my friends, is AWESOME.

and i'm going to leave it on a high note. because really, i can't really top that. i don't really SEEM like i'm excited for this concert in person, but... it just kind of hit me. i bought the tix the week before, but... now its REAL. I'M GOING. TO SEE THE EAGLES. LIVE. IN CONCERT. THE EAGLES. BEST OF MY LOVE. ONE OF THESE NIGHTS. HOTEL CALIFORNIA. THE EAGLES. SERIOUSLY.

*explodes from joy*
