so last night i finished S1 of Legend of the Seeker.

I'm so glad i have it on my laptop, i'm not gonna lie. Because instead of waiting for it on megavideo, i can watch whatever ep i want, whenever i want to watch it.

still... even though its not The Greatest Show EVAR!!!, its still pretty awesome. and I kind of love it. And theres no doubt that I'll probably buy it when it comes out on DVD, cuz OMG PRETTY.

but yeah. Me and [livejournal.com profile] unconfessed totally crammed quite a few eps in two nights. I think we started with ep 13 together, and watched up to... ep 15, then i went home, and watched 16 & 17 on my own, then we watched 18-21 together, and then i went home and watched the finale. So 6 episodes in two nights isn't bad. And all the time we were squeeing and flailing and fangirling.

and we both kinda not-so-secretly love Darken Rahl. I mean, come on.  His first name is Darken. The poor guy never had a chance!! So i luff him. Even if he is a badass and a liar and pretty devious & evil. he's still kinda awesome.

but yeah. totally loving this show. and she lent me the First Book, so i have to read that. I'm excited. I know that the show is Super Different from the books, but that's ok. i'm up for some diversity.  as long as Richard and Kahlan stay the same, i think i'll be ok.

But yeah. tonight i'm eating dinner with [livejournal.com profile] skullycat at [livejournal.com profile] goldenrockstar 's place, with my sis, Kyle and Laura, and Kaeda (at least for a bit). so yay!

tomorrow is my usual [livejournal.com profile] kepp0xy time, which i'm looking forward to!! I think we're almost done S1 of Roswell!!! Woo!! But i don't have S2 and S3, so we'll have to cross those bridges when we come to them. I'll probably end up buying them anyway. I can't NOT, you know?

THEN this weekend i TOTALLY PLAN TO WATCH HARRY POTTER. I'LL GO SEE IT BY MYSELF IF I HAVE TO!! and since i didn't go see The Proposal last weekend, like i kinda wanted to, i might go see it on sunday. I haven't decided yet.

But yeah. The Legend of the Seeker kinda took over my week. Not that I'm complaining, since Vikki is an enabler. but whatevs.

Hollah!

So...

yesterday I went Pitch-and-Putt-ing. And it was really fun!!

I didn't want to go at first. I just wanted to stay at home and chill with my sister and have a nice home cooked meal like the day before. But Janice and Sarah - my Work Family - would have none of it. They were all, 'so we'll meet you there at 6:30, yeah?' , and they wouldn't let me NOT go. So I talked to Mares and asked if she wanted to go too, and she said sure.

Janice and Sarah had been bugging me for at least... an hour, an hour and a half before I reluctantly agreed. All it took was a few minutes to get my sis involved. Oi.

BUT, i had a GREAT time. I like going out with the girls. Sometimes guys take golfing so seriously. We had one rule - NO keeping score. Sometimes if it was close enough to the hole we were all, 'eh, good enough' and moved on. I also got a few good hits - they got some air, it went pretty straight, and went pretty far. I'm no Tiger Woods, but everyone seemed impressed, so it was cool. I was even thinking about maybe going to the driving range or something. I mean, I'm about as good at golf as I am at bowling (and i SUCK at bowling), but hey, it was fun!  Janice was using a Wood for most of her drives, so of course we had to make inappropriate comments about "Her Woody" and how "She had to move her hands down the shaft" and everything. It was good fun.

Sarah didn't finish the 9 holes with us. After the 7th hole, she had to go pick up her BF Nick, but the rest of us stayed. And we still had a good time.

After we finished up, Mares didn't really feel like cooking a big meal - it was 8-ish after all, so we just hit up McD's - its cheap and fast and easy. So we went home and ate and watched the Vicar of Dibly (a britcom that's pretty funny). I also watched The Legend of the Seeker, which [livejournal.com profile] unconfessed has turned me on to. I'm hooked. I just finished up ep 5 last night.  Also? Vikki and I have agreed that Craig Horner looks kinda like Nathan Fillion, who we both love. Plus? Craig's body is not too bad either. But yes. Richard is fairly endearing as a character. and Kahlan is pretty. and Zed is awesome. And can I just say that Richard and Kahlan fighting side by side in slow motion is kinda hot? because I totally will. Its hot.

I almost want to laugh every time they mention Darken Rahl, but i blame [livejournal.com profile] goldenrockstar  for that. In our Rock Band rock band, he made a guy named Darken Rahl, and he was... well, he was tall, with long blond hair, and a really shiny gold outfit. with a matching shiny gold banada over his face like a bandit. So to see Darken Rahl with blue eyes and dark hair and evil posture, it kind of makes me laugh. But he seems like a badass in the show, so... you know, what with the killing and such.

Speaking of Drew, he and I have plans for dinner tonight. AND there's a surprise of some kind!! he won't tell me what it is, but I know its not a Pony. He already said that it wasn't. So. whatever. that's ok. I kinda like surprises. But yeah, I feel like i haven't really seen him in a while, and I need to catch up with what's going on in his life.

And tomorrow is my night with [livejournal.com profile] kepp0xy - we're thinking Subway for dinner, and then we're watching some eps of Star Trek: The Original Series, The Holiday (the RomCom), and some eps of Roswell (because, that's what we're watching right now).

[livejournal.com profile] unconfessed  and I are trying to make plans to hang out (and watch Legend of the Seeker!! She's an enabler!!).

Look at me, trying to be all social and stuff. I usually like to just chill and relax at home with my sis. But right now, i feel like being SOCIAL. and DO stuff. with PEOPLE who AREN'T my sister. Maybe cuz i had so much fun at Pitch and Putt. which is saying something, since I do not have a good history with golf.

Just to give you an idea... when i was about... 9-12 years old (i can't remember how old i was), my aunt and mother took us girls out golfing for our first time when we were in Midway. (Ok, the actual golf course is in Kettle Valley, but whatevs). So anyway, we go, and my Aunt, Mimi, is teaching me how to swing a golf club properly. So she tells me to go, and so I swing, not realizing that she hasn't stepped back yet, and I hit her in the face with my 5 iron. So i'm freaking out because i just hit my aunt in the face, and she's all, nono, its fine, blah blah blah, but everyone was all, 'um, actually you're face is turning black and blue, maybe you should go to the hospital' so she goes and leaves my mom with us three girls, and then Kim gets a nosebleed and its not stopping, so we just basically gave up on the golf as everything was going wrong.

SO. anyways, that was my FIRST experience with golf. My aunt was ok, btw. I hit her in the perfect spot, apparently. Any lower and i would have broken her jaw, and any higher i would have gotten her temple. And now, when she smiles, she has a little dent by her cheekbone.

But yeah. That's my update so far.

how's everyone else doing?
