I can't really get beyond the whole... STANLEY/MIMI YOU MAKE THIS SHOW SO AWESOME ITS AMAZING GLEE right now. sorry.

I AM TORN OVER THIS EPISODE.

For one, what was with that camera work and the swooping circles and strangely unbalanced shots? And why so much Emily (and Emily/Jake? GAH! No!) and so little Heather? And what happened to the pacing (I'm willing to give a little here since they only have 7 episodes in which to set up and resolve a storyline arc); it was fast then slow and all sorts of jerky.

ANYWAY. BUT THEN THERE IS LOVE TOO.

* Hawkins and Dee being in cahoots? OMG LOVE IT!
* Heather returning and both she and Jake getting offered positions of responsibility within the new "government"? WIN!
* STANLEY AND MIMI. STANLEY AND MIMI OMFG! How frickin' amazing was Alicia Coppola?! I love the post-Marry Me bit when she's totally freaking out, and is all teary and annoyed and "don't say you'll marry me out of pity!" and ahahaha, AWESOME. And then the whole "sometimes I'm afraid if I don't say it then no one will" and Stanley's like, "you're scary sometimes, now shut up and let me propose" and *FLAILS*

I did miss Bonnie though. BONNIE COME BACK AND PLAY WITH THE FAMILY AGAIN.

ALSO! The moment when Jake sees Heather for the first time (especially 'cause he thought she was dead (and really, couldn't we have explored that a little more?)). The way he ran hug attacked her, and then held her face all OMG ARE YOU OKAY?! and she gets kind of embarrassed and yet is glad that he missed her and cares, and THAT was also the best thing ever. Totally beats all the Jake/Emily kissing (die! DIE!).

ok.. You? ARE NEVER ALLOWED TO DISAPPEAR LIKE THAT AGAIN! EVER! NOT UNLESS ITS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!!! I MEAN IT! I WILL FLY DOWN TO THE STATES JUST TO BEAT SOME SENSE INTO YOU! DON'T THINK I WON'T DO IT!

BUT OMG! ok, i wasn't really paying attention to all the camera angles mostly because i was all flaily that it was back and here and omg new episodes!

but i pretty much agree with everything you said. I was waiting for a big Jake/Heather moment. It didn't have to be shippy in the least. I just wanted them to have a talk or something, after the intial OMG You're alive! thing. (the hug did have me all squee-y though. the shipper in me totally rejoiced at the contact.) And I'm sorry but i don't see anything between Jake/Emily. Its sad. And all their kissy faces and such are just NO.

Seriously, the best thing about the ep was all the Stanley/Mimi action we got. I was wondering where Bonnie was though. Shouldn't she be there? Somewhere??? Hello, she's part of the family too!

Totally loved that Hawkins and Wife are like, the Ultimate Team. She kinda kicks ass.

They are so cute with their bickering and stuff over the engagement! I pretty much watch the show for them. is that sad?LOL
