So, lets catch up...

things at work have been... hectic and slow at the same time. Our building is moving to another... city? suburb of vancouver? whatever. it'll take 30 mins to get there, and i've worked in Burnaby before, so its no big. But we have to pack everything up and stuff.

2 members of our department team are 'leaving' at the end of the month. and i say 'leaving' because they're actually going to work part time at the new building. We DID hire a new girl though (for one of the other people that we let go a month or so before), so she's been training, albeit slowly - there's not much for her to do right now. She seems nice, and Sarah and I haven't scared her off just yet - i take that as a good sign.

my dad is going away AGAIN - he'll be in Midway for another 2 weeks, meaning I'll be staying with my grandmother. I guess it wasn't that bad the first time, but i made sure i was busy while i was staying there. But she constantly checks up on me, and its a little annoying. I'm sorry, but no 24 year old should have a curfew.

This past saturday i spent at the PNE with skullycat , kaeda and brendan. it was fun. We acted like a family (in our own little weird way). We saw part of SuperDogs, but Kaeda was getting a little restless, so we left. Then we went to the Farm Animal Exhibit and saw cows and llamas and horses, and Karen took Kaeda to the 'petting zoo' part, while Bee and I hung out outside with the buggy. We toured around a bit and had a break or too, did some shopping at the marketplace. Their friend Taylor came and spent some time with us as well, so we did MORE shopping and stuff. We got there about 930 AM and left around 5PM. It was a full day.

Then, when I got home, i took a little nap before preparing to go to goldenrockstar's gig at a bar downtown. Karen was going too, and she was super stoked because she'd never been to a Scenery in Stereo show before. So i wore my new top that i got at the PNE, and she came over, and we got picked up by ANOTHER friend, Sheena. It was her first show too. So we got there and karen and I immediately started drinking, since it was her first time downtown in about a year and a half. maybe even two years. 

The band was amazing, as per usual. BUT. THE BEST PART WAS ALEX!!!! Karen, Emily (another friend who was at the show) and I used to work at a cafe with him, and we randomly bumped into him at the bar. Me and Emily used to 'fight' over him and this other guy who worked there. But i was tipsy by this point, and in my Pretty Friendly stage of drinking, so i was even MORE EXCITED to see him. so he gave us his number and told us he'd love to catch up with us sometime. 

i love alex. i adored him. he's so cute. 

anyways. 

yeah, i had a good saturday. Sunday was lazy, so that was nice. 

Today, after work I'm going to Best Buy to pick up Season 6 of NCIS, so WOO!! i love NCIS. 

OH. Last night, we had dinner at dad's, as per usual, and after dinner we watched Castle (yay!) and How I met Your Mother.

OMG, for some reason, i'd forgotten how AWESOME that show is. Barney and Marshall are totally my favourites. Though Lily is a close second. Or third. whatever. BUT OMG, i was pretty much rolling around on the floor laughing. I took "ROFL" literally. From now on, I'm totally going to start using "remember that time in the future..." because i just got histerical.   Which reminds me, i should probably get Season 3 of that too....
