tater_maeI saw Walking with the Dinosaurs last night.
And it was freakin amazing. Kieran got like, $80 tickets for free. (Luke and I decided we'd hold off killing him until he stops getting me free stuff). Since it was the first night, there were a few mishaps, but all in all, awesome show. I met Kieran in front of GM Place where he had to give out free stuff around 545. I called myself 'Car Security' so that while he was off giving away stuff, i stood by the car and made sure no one stole anything. But people would come up to me and be all, I listen to Jack! so then i would point in Kieran's direction and be all, he's the guy you wanna see!
He thought he had to be out there until 730, but then we found out the show started at 7, so we missed the first 10 or 15 minutes. Well, i did. He got us popcorn, so he missed a bit more. But seriously, the show was incredible! It was entertaining AND educational!
I think there were only 2 technical difficulties. The first was where one guy who was a Utah Raptor fell over and needed two techs to help him up. Everyone clapped for him. poor guy. the second was with Momma T-Rex. She wasn't working at first. But then she was and she came out and she was awesome.
Two of Kieran's co-workers were at the show too, so he dropped me off at my car and I followed them back to the Station. Then Kieran drove me to dinner, cuz i didn't feel like driving and i'm STILL not that comfortable driving in Vancouver at night. I don't know it like he does. We went to the Mongolie BBQ on Davie, and its really good. All you can eat for $10.99. I wasn't that hungry cuz we had popcorn (and left over gummies from Juno the night before), so i only had a small bowl of food, while Fatty ate 2 bowls. Still, it was really yummeh! I wanna go again, sometime, eventually. Maybe after we go to Science World or something!!
