Nov. 18th, 2009 12:33 pmSo i'm totally enjoying Lost. But i don't know if i'd enjoy it as much if i were watching it week to week instead of marathoning my way through the dvds. Just cuz sometimes they're TOTAL douchebags. THEY ALWAYS END IN CLIFFHANGERS!! which is kind of awesome, but COME ON!!! I HATE BEING LEFT HANGING LIKE THAT!!! its cruel. CRUEL i tells ya. Reminds me of True Blood - they do that too. or at least they did in the first season. i have yet to watch the second season.
AND AND AND!!!! The ep we just watched? was MEAN!! They totally made me think that Charlie was dead for a second. But only for a second. i was in denial the whole time he wasn't breathing and partly when Jack stopped trying to bring him back. Maybe not in denial, because I KNEW it couldn't be true. But i faltered for a second. Because there was a second when Kate was crying and Jack stopped and the music was all sad in the background and for a SECOND i was REALLY upset because i LIKE Charlie. Then i was all, wait, its TOO SOON to kill off Charlie. One of the others that we don't know as well? Wouldn't be a problem. But Charlie? Sweet, awesome Charlie who's no longer a drug addict? They wouldn't kill him off yet, and i'm probably going to cry when they do kill him off because i adore him so so much.
and HURLEY!!! OMFG, I TOTALLY LOVE HURLEY!!! he's amazing and trying to keep everyone safe, and making a golf course, and doing a census! Hurley is totally the man. And the real brainz behind the operation. Jack kinda gets shit done, but Hurley is the one that thinks of stuff that NEEDS to get done, you know? He's always trying to make the situation better. He's just... Made of Win and Awesome.
Locke is still kindfa crazy, and he's got this weird connection with the island. i dunno. EVERYTHING is kind of a sign to him, or its fate, or SOMETHING. And i kinda like Boone. I mean, he's ok. he's not my most favourite person ever, but i don't want him to die (yet, cuz i know he does eventually). But he tries to help out when he can, and he takes pretty good care of his sister (who i'm pretty sure dies too. sucks to be in their family.)
And Sawyer!!! Oh Sawyer, who's the badass with a heart. I love that he was betting on the golfing. that was cute. yay for island funness and bonding!!
AND!! I KNEW that Danielle wasn't crazy. Well, i mean, she totally is, but i knew that what she was telling Sayid about there being others, and that they whisper, i knew it wasn't just crazytalk! i KNEW she made sense in her own little way. She's not as cracked out as she seems to be (even though she seems pretty damn crazy. she did kill her lover and the rest of her science expedition team, after all.) So Crazy Lady of the Island is ok in my books. But now i'm really curious as to what she meant that her team was sick or whatever. WHAT HAPPENED 16 YEARS AGO??? AND WHAT HAPPENED TO ALEX???
and POOR CLAIRE!! who got kidnapped probably because she's pregnant. and the psychic KNEW something - something about the plane crash, something about her kid... why else would he go on and on about how SHE has to raise it and stuff? poor claire who had the douchebag boyfriend. But now she's got Charlie looking out for her. Or... had Charlie looking out for her? Does she die too? I think she might, but i can't remember. maybe not. i don't know. but she's all pregnant and getting attacked and kidnapped. and that's all AFTER BEING IN A PLANE CRASH, AND STUCK ON AN ISLAND WITH POLAR BEARS, AND CRAZY FRENCH PEOPLE, AND SOME MONSTER LIKE THING (that doesn't really exist? since Danielle said that there were no such things as monsters? so maybe its... something else? I DON"T KNOW!!!)
THIS SHOW IS ADDICTIVE!!! we're probably going to rent S2 after we finish up with S1 (since we're totally going to finish before xmas gets here), and see how much I still like it, since i may or may not want the rest of the seasons for xmas. because when the fam asked what i wanted this year, all i could think of was Star Trek!!! but other than that... i dunno. i may have already bought most of the dvds i already wanted, and i'm getting a few of the others that i wanted for my sister for HER gifts this year, so that's all taken care of.
but yes. Lost might be my new show. Its really good right now.
