Somtimes people are amazing
Jun. 12th, 2008 08:04 am Sometimes I lose faith in humanity. Just a little.
Or rather, I have a bad experience with a person, and my faith in them is shot.
But then someone comes and repairs the damage.
Like now. Like just now.
So Art - my all time Fave Dispatcher (who no longer works here :( and i miss him) has awesome Drivers.
Ned was always my favourite out of his group.
So yesterday, I'm at work at 730 am and maybe 15 mins later Ned comes in to pick up his paycheque. He asks me if I'm going to Cloverdale. I say no, i'm still looking. He tells me he'll keep his eyes open for me.
He's a sweet man.
Just now, he comes in, and gives me an application form for Gateway Casino. He says his wife works there as a hostess and they're looking for a receptionist RIGHT NOW.
So he gives me this application form, and then tells me how to get there from here.
I think its funny how some people you consider friends can really make you feel shitty (and goes to show you that maybe they're not the most reliable friend after all and you should really re-think some things), and almost strangers can make your day.
