On Saturday, my sister and i got tattoos to commemorate my mother. i got the kanji for mother and her initials around it (i will post up a pic later), and my sis got... well, on saturday she just got the same kanji i did, but in may she's getting more done (it has to do with the mayan long count calander).

That took... well, the whole trip took a couple of hours. then we got home and rested. 

on sunday i had brunch with skullycat and kaeda and then we walked to the diplomat and got dessert. mucho yummy. (then i went home and rested). 

yesterday i went to chapters because kieran wanted another book. before he got there i saw some friends and they were glad to see me and i told one of my managers that i would be able to work next week. she was really nice and asked if i needed more time, but i told her that i was ready to come back. and they did give me a card. (Daniel said something about being in his heart and thoughts, so i was happy). so afterwards i wandered around the store and looked at The Twilight Series since my friend Megan has been talking to me about it and telling me all sorts of wonderful squishy things. But i realized that i had forgotten my wallet at work and couldn't buy it just yet (which is probably a good thing). Then kieran showed up and he picked out the Da Vinci Code - the one with the pictures (because he hearts Dan Brown), and when we were in line to pay for it, my friend Jos (one of my 'wives' at chapters) told us that she'd give him a copy that she bought when it was a bargain book. so, that was cool.

So we left chapters and i had wonderful plans to go home and eat my leftover club sandwich and play Sims 2 and be lazy. but kieran was all, c'mon, lets do something! lets' go somewhere! 
and i kinda refused because i was tired and had a headache and had a club waiting for me at home. 
but then he's all, lets go to vancouver!!!!!!

and vancouver to me = pie. for the most part. (vancouver also = speckleberry and oparu as well, but not when i'm with kieran)

so then i said okay, and left my car in the chapters parking lot and we drove to kitsilano (which is the Pie District, as dubbed by aluminiumdonut) . 

so there i was, all excited for pie because that's what i think of, and he's all, where do you wanna go for dinner? and i said pie, but then he said that i couldn't eat pie for dinner, so we went to this cute little burger joint and i had a hot dog and for a while it was really nice because he wasn't talking and then we drove around a bit and talked and then it was 10-ish and we decided to go home.

so i didn't get ANY pie last night. which is somewhat disappointing. oh well. i'll just have to have a pie night with the girls sometime soon. 

tonight we're having meatloaf at the parents' place, then racing home to watch our Crime Shows. (\o/)

The family is coming down on friday, and on saturday we're having a nice big family dinner. 

Megan is an enabler, because i'm trying to read/finish The Amber Spyglass (the last in the His Dark Materials trilogy) and she's not helping by being all, OMG TWILIGHT!!! because i'm getting sucked in. (and i can totally tell that i'm going to be on Team Edward.)
